What’s new at UPA 2008?
e-Government Program

This year, UPA is proud to offer a full-day e-Government Program.
Managing User Experience

UPA 2008 will also introduce a new topic called Managing User Experience. It includes sessions geared towards user experience managers, directors, or team leaders. Possible topics could include UX team logistics, UX team building and positioning, or ROI and other value metrics. Proposed activities should either teach younger practitioners about these topics or bring together experienced managers to discuss current trends in user experience management.

30 Minute Presentations
We’ve been listening to our UPA attendees. This year, we are trying out a new 30-minute presentation format. Our goal is to have high energy, fast paced presentations, giving presenters an opportunity to focus on sharing their research, methods, or experiences. Content of these presentations must be easily presented in 30-minutes. While these sessions will require less interaction with the audience, we expect a livelier, more dynamic presentation style.

About the Theme
Usability through holistic practice - Many types of professionals touch the user experience of a product. Marketing specialists, graphic designers, computer scientists, business analysts, psychologists, information architects, technical writers and others bring valuable perspectives to usability and user experience. UPA 2008 invites you to share perspectives and learn from the experiences of other practitioners.
