The D/FW Metro Area chapter of the UPA was formed to provide local usability professionals and others concerned with the usability of their company’s products with locally-based educational, networking, and professional resources.

The Usability Professionals’ Association (www.upassoc.org) is a multi-disciplinary organization devoted to promoting usability concepts and techniques worldwide. It provides members with opportunities to network with other usability professionals on the web and at the annual conference. It provides businesses with practical information that can be used to develop more usable products, and access to usability professionals who can help businesses achieve their goals and improve customer satisfaction. UPA also serves as a learning resource for employees, including an annual conference, a quarterly newsletter, and a large membership with usability expertise.

Membership is open to professionals who practice, conduct, or teach in a usability-related profession, as well as to fulltime students enrolled in a usability-related field of study.

DFW-UPA Chapter Fees:

Chapter fees can be paid at annually or each month ($5 per month) until paid in full.  The annual membership is very reasonable:

· Professional Membership = $20 per year
· Student Membership = $10 per year
