Aug. 25th–Book Swap & Conference Redux Social
Did you have to miss your favorite conference this year thanks to a tight budget? If so, catch up a bit at this month’s DFW UPA meeting! Several people will do 10-minute talks about their experiences at SxSW, IA Summit, Big (D)esign, UPA2009, and SIG-CHI. It isn’t every day that you have a chance to get the gist of five different conferences in less than two hours.
And did we mention that attendance is FREE if you bring a book for our book swap? Just find a book you don’t need any more — comic, coffee-table, thriller, IA, design, whatever – and bring it to the meeting to get in free and pick up something else to read.
This is really a social, so please come out, relax, meet some new people, and catch up with old friends!
